About the Journal
Current Horticulture (Print ISSN: 2347-7377; Online ISSN: 2455-7560), is a Peer Reviewed, and Open Access Journal published since 2013. The journal is official publication of the Society for Horticultural Research and Development (SHRD) and published quarterly (4 issues annually).
Current Horticulture publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research and review articles covering a wide range of topics in horticultural sciences.
The prime objective of the Current Horticulture is for the advancement of the basic and fundamental research in Horticultural science among horticulturists, researchers, scientists, students, educators and other stakeholders in order to promote exchange of scientific knowldge and interaction among them in a mission-mode approach.

Current Horticulture, an open access and peer-reviewed journal, considers articles on all aspects of research on Horticultural crops.

The journal welcomes manuscripts in the following aspects of horticultural crops: Cultivation, Crop improvement, Genetics, Genomics, Biotechnology, Post-harvest technology and management, Food Science, Crop protection (insect pest, diseases, nematodes, etc ), Nanotechnology, Botany, Taxonomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Extension, Economics etc.

The journal maintains an efficient editorial process, with an average of 15 days from submission to first decision and approximately 45 days for peer review.

Current Horticulture is an official publication of the Society for Horticultural Research and Development (SHRD). The journal publishes high-quality original research articles, reviews, and short communications covering all aspects of Horticultural Sciences, including fruit crops, vegetable crops, floriculture, medicinal and aromatic crops, post-harvest management, plant biotechnology, and allied aspects of Horticultural Sciences.
The journal is committed to upholding international publishing standards and maintaining transparency in editorial and ethical practices. As a part of our continuous efforts to improve visibility and reach, Current Horticulture is actively pursuing indexing and abstracting in leading international databases.
Current Horticulture has received a NAAS Score of 4.62, as per the latest NAAS Journal Ratings (2025) and we are committed to improve it.
We aim to continually expand the journal’s reach and visibility to the global research community by meeting the criteria for inclusion in internationally recognized abstracting and indexing services.
Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent availability and global accessibility.

Author Charges
Current Horticulture is an open access journal committed to the free and global dissemination of scientific knowledge in horticultural science.
Current Horticulture does not charge any article processing or publication fees (APCs). However, to support the journal’s sustainability and activities, at least the corresponding author must be a member of the Society for Horticultural Research and Development (SHRD) at the time of article acceptance. Details on SHRD membership fees and how to join are available at: [SHRD membership]. There are no submission fees, and membership does not affect editorial decisions, which are based solely on scientific merit.
